The design concept is inspired by the imagery of cascading terraces. Four towers merge into two, which descend toward the center of the park, creating a terraced landscape. The office spaces generate outdoor terrace activity areas, while the lower sections of the towers, due to their merging, form a large space designed for meetings and public interactions, stimulating collaborative exchanges among scientists.

The new headquarters, featuring twin towers, is located in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Shanghai, where many globally renowned corporate headquarters are situated. The project has a height limit of 60 meters, and within this constraint, it needs to stand out from the surrounding environment with a unique concept and spatial form, while also meeting the functional requirements of the corporate headquarters, including large conference spaces and small independent laboratory clusters.

An aerial sky bridge connects the two “mountains,” serving as a transit route and a city lounge, illuminating the urban landscape. Within the limited height and volume, the project’s form creates a unique landmark for the city.
