PLATINUM BAY EAST SITE COMMERCIAL OFFICE BUILDING DESIGN
Sailing into the Sea
The project consists of a total of six functional blocks and supporting facilities, with a reconfiguration of functions. Large functional areas are designed as independent towers, while smaller functions are combined within a single complex. The overall building spacing allows for ample natural light, and the rhythmic volumes along the street create a unique architectural image. The building mass gradually rises from south to north, minimizing the impact on sunlight for the residential areas to the west, while the towering structures to the north form a distinct urban landmark at a city intersection.

The design concept draws on three cultural genes from Ningbo:
Maritime Culture: Ningbo stands tall with its profound maritime culture, where the lights of the port act as beacons on ancient trade routes, guiding journeys of exploration and discovery. The colors of the sea permeate every detail of Ningbo people’s lives, shaping a unique set of values and lifestyle.
Nautical Culture: The traces of navigation are etched into this land, as Ningbo is renowned for its long-standing maritime traditions, serving as a cradle for adventurers.
Shipbuilding Culture: The elegance of sails and the wisdom of navigation weave together a rich cultural tapestry. This driving force propels Ningbo forward, fostering a spirit of innovation and exploration in generations of Ningbo people.
